Dr David Huntsman will give a lecture on cell context ,mutation, microenvironment and gynaecologic cancer control.

TOPICS COVERED

The speaker will present a model where cancer histotypes are products of specific interactions between cells of origin, mutations and the microenvironment from which the cancer originates and how changing any of these factors will usually change the nature and histotype of the cancer. Ovarian and endometrial cancer classification, opportunistic salpingectomy, DICER1 Tumour Predisposition Syndrome and endometriosis associated cancers will be used as examples.
