Do you know about the link between HPV (human papillomavirus) and cervical cancer? Anyone with a cervix can get cervical cancer, and it is one of the most common cancers in women under the age of 44 - so the more we learn about it, the more it can be detected, treated - and even prevented. In our activity you can learn more with our hands-on microscope showcase and the story of the 'human train'!
This event forms part of the wider Science and Engineering Day of the University of Southampton.
This stall in particular will feature a hands-on light microscope showcase pertaining to cervical cancer and there will be visual infographics conveying the molecular biology of HPV infection of the cervix.
