The 7th Immunology Forum programme brings together a broad range of speakers to focus on emerging technologies and therapies relevant to clinical immunologists. We will be considering the use of big data to improve diagnosis of primary immunodeficiency, the impact of new therapies in malignancy and immunodeficiency, and provide future perspectives for plasma supply and COVID vaccination.

This meeting will be split over 2 days with a focus on emerging technologies and therapies relevant for immunodeficiency, pertinent to those working in a clinical immunology setting. A number of key topics will be discussed in discrete sessions, with each session closed with an interactive panel discussion. There will be time for interaction with the expert faculty during breaks, lunch and dinner.

TOPICS INCLUDE

  • Starting a new era: screening opportunities in immunodeficiencies for IEI and SID
  • CAR-T cell immunotherapy of solid tumours
  • Lessons from COVID: the effects of different forms of immunosuppression on vaccine responses
  • Thrombocytopenia (VITT) caused by COVID-19 vaccine: a window into a long standing unrecognised autoimmune disease

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This event is suitable for healthcare professionals (consultant physicians, late stage trainees, specialist nurses and pharmacists) working in clinical immunology. It is particularly focused on those with an interest in immunodeficiencies and the role that research can play in improving clinical outcomes.
