Following the election in March of Dr Mike Osborn to succeed Professor Jo Martin as President from November 2020, elections were held for a number of other roles.

The nominations and elections process was carried out under the guidance of the Nominations Committee and approved by the Trustee Board. The process enabled all Fellows of the College to participate and it was encouraging to see a wide field of candidates from different specialties and professional backgrounds.

The voting closed on 9 October and the Nominations Committee met on 12 October to confirm the results of the elections for Vice Presidents and Council roles. The results were ratified by Trustees when they met on 18 October.

All of the elected Fellows will take up their appointments from the Annual General Meeting to be held on 19 November 2020 and serve a term of three years.

Professor Jo Martin, President said: 

`In electing new Officers and Council members we would also like to take the opportunity to recognise the demitting representatives and thank them hugely for all they have done. Their expertise, wisdom and outstanding work has been greatly appreciated. Their workload has been heavy and especially pressing during this pandemic. So much has been achieved by them on behalf of all our members, and we are truly grateful.'
