This resource is aimed at A-level students and consists of two activities; an ethical discussion on the Human Tissue Act (HTA) and a hands-on activity on disease detection.
Description
Explore diseases, different tissues and slides using a microscope to develop an understanding of how pathologists test and diagnose diseases. Follow this with an ethical debate on The Human Tissue Act 2004, organ donation, the need for ‘consent' and why some people may choose not to donate their organs?
