Why should I apply?

NICE guidelines are evidence-based recommendations on a wide range of topics, from preventing and managing specific conditions, improving health, and managing medicines in different settings, to providing social care and support to adults and children, safe staffing, and planning broader services and interventions to improve the health of communities.

NICE clinical guidelines provide recommendations on how healthcare professionals should care for people with specific diseases or conditions in the NHS in England and Wales. The recommendations are based on the best practice evidence available.

What does the role entail?

As an expert advisor, you will be expected to comment on a variety of documents such as draft scopes, guidance documents, appraisal documents, final appraisal determinations, quality standards and more.

What is the commitment?

You will be invited to participate if an appropriate consultation comes up, and over a number of months you will be sent documentation and instructions on what to do and when to return it by. You are under no obligation to accept the invitation if you cannot meet the return deadline.

We welcome advisors from all pathology specialties. However, we are particularly looking for advisors in the within all sub-specialist areas of haematology. Please let us know all your sub-specialist areas of haematology when contacting us.
